The Hidden Archives Podcast
Described as feeling like a mix of The Twilight Zone and Tales From The Crypt, The Hidden Archives Podcast is a biweekly horror anthology series. Though all types of horror and science fiction stories are featured - from classic thriller, space, ghost stories, time travel, and monsters of all sorts - many stories have a general feeling that can only be described as ”cerebral.” These are the stories that get you thinking - that trap you inside your own mind and make you ask ”what if?” Come sit down with your regular hosts, the Curators - Nicole and Phillip, as we share with you the tales that can only be found upon the shelves of The Hidden Archives.

There is nothing more terrifying than being confronted with the threat of imminent death. Coming face to face with one's own mortality is a situation that we all hope to put off as long as possible. But what happens when someone forces you to confront this - when they hold your life in your hands, and they seem a little too ready to take it all away? How would you feel? What would go through your mind? In this week's story, we hear from someone who has experienced just this.
This story and episode were written, directed, engineered, and produced by Phillip Clark with help from Nicole Clark. The "Curator" was voiced by Nicole Clark, and "Andy" and "The Crook" were voiced by Phillip Clark.
Music: Theme is "Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 - 22 - Variatio 21 Canone alla Settima" and story music is "Paul Pitman - Moonlight Sonata Op. 27 No. 2 - III. Presto"

This week, we deal with the topic of suicide from a different perspective: that of the survivors. Max Krane makes his living writing suicide notes for the survivors of victims who didn't leave a note. But if this sounds shady, you aren't mistaken. It is a risky job that will leave Max struggling with the consequences of his actions.
The Hidden Archives does not condone any sort of self harm, or harm to other living beings. If you are struggling, please reach out for help. The phone number, in the United States, for the suicide hotline is: 800-273-8255.
You can always reach out for help. If you are in need, we highly encourage doing so. If you need a quick affirmation that you matter, let me just say that you matter to me.
This episode was written, directed, engineered, and produced by Phillip Clark. "Max Krane" was voiced by Phillip Clark. The "Curator/Host" and "Grieving Mother" were voiced by Nicole Clark.
